Swatches: CbL Thriller

Hi guys!

Happy Halloween! I hope you have a fun and scary Halloween ;) I went to Fright Night at PNE yesterday, and it was super fun! There are 5 haunted houses there, and I went in to all of them *proud*. Lol! One of them was called Fear, and after I entered, they put me in a coffin to enter the next part of the haunted house. How creepy is that?! At first I thought we'll be in the coffin the entire time, so I just covered my face with my hands, until my bf woke me after my coffin was opened. Lol!

Anyway, back to the polish I want to share with you today. CbL Thriller. Appropriate name for tonight's event, right? ;)
Thriller is described as a blued teal holo. I think depends on skin tone and lightning, for me it leans more green than blue. It's very pigmented, just like most of CbL polishes. My swatches are 2 thin coats with HK Girl top coat. Photos were taken in a light box.
(note: I've worn this as a full mani, and found out Out The Door top coat killed the holo)

Swatches: Jindie Nails Anniversary Seaquins

Hi guys!

I'm back with another Jindie Nails pretty to show you. This polish was created as a part of Anniversary Duo set, to celebrate Jindie Nails turning one.

Anniversary Seaquins, a beautiful medium blue shimmer crelly with light pink opaque dots, pastel yellow opaque dots, pastel peach opaque dots, moss green metallic squares, magenta large and small squares, mauve squares, light green metallic dots, kelly green matte medium dots, matte white dots & opaque matte medium purple dots.
Two words. Glitter bomb! No shaking, rolling, putting upside down, and you get plenty of glitter in each brush dip. My swatches here are with two coats, and I even need to brush off some of the glitter from the brush. I needed 2 generous coat of HK Girl top coat to smooth this out.

Swatches: Takko Wanderlust

Happy Monday!!

Today I have a new-to-me polish to share with you. It's my first Takko polish! I received this in a swap, and have purchased two more from Llarowe, but we'll get to that in another post ;)

Wanderlust is a grey with hints of dusty light purple with TONS of blue/green shimmer. Great formula, my swatches is showing 2 easy coats with HK Girl top coat. Unfortunately, it's not the most flattering shade on my skin tone. But it's SO pretty, let's just focus on the polish and not the weird look of my hand, ok? :p

Takko Lacquer can be purchased directly from the maker here, but it's for US customer only. International customer can try to get their hands on it from Llarowe or Mei Mei's Signature. Glittery Pumpkins

Happy Saturday!!

I am finally in the mood to do some halloween nail art! I have been thinking of doing some carved pumpkins nails since last night. But I struggled a bit on what base color I want to use. So I looked at my untried stash, and right away I know I want to use Cirque Queen Majesty. Purple and orange, so halloween-y! So the base is 3 coats of Queen Majesty (I probably should've layered it over a cream purple, but oh well..). Hope you like them! :)

With a small detail brush, I painted the carved pumpkins with white polish and then paint them over with mixed orange shades and a yellow, to get that glow-y look. Finished off with 2 coats of HK Girl top coat.

Ethereal Lacquer Devoured

Hi guys!

Tonight I want to share one of my new pretty that I purchased from Llarowe recently. This polish is part of the first A Box, Indied that was released early this month. If you're not familiar with what I'm talking about, A Box, Indied is a monthly subscription of Limited Edition polishes that can't be purchased anywhere else but from Llarowe, each month the box will have 5 different polishes from 5 out of 10 indie maker that collaborated to create this box. I didn't get the October box, but I managed to snag this one when Llarowe is selling them individually. But from what I've heard, polishes from future boxes won't be sold individually anymore.

Devoured, a linear holographic brown-ish purple. The bottle sure look purple, but after I put it on, it looked more brown than purple in my indoor lightning. Not until I stepped outside, then I can see the purple hue in it. The formula is nice, I used 2 coats with HK Girl top coat. My pics were taken in a light box, normal lightning setting, and I can still capture the rainbow effect pretty nice.

I really glad I could get my mitts on this one. This is also my first Ethereal Lacquer polish. I love their simple bottle design and logo. If you're interested to get the LE polishes from A Box, Indied, the November edition will be launched tomorrow. You can check out the listing here, and Llarowe facebook page for more details on launch time.

Jindie Nails Electric Grape

Hello again!

I have another Jindie Nails to share with you. Yes, this is Jindie Nails night! Lol!
Electric Grape, is a crelly neon purple/magenta with electric neon blue shimmer. The one I'm showing you is the reformulated version. It is much less sheer than the original version,  Jen has tweaked it to be more opaque without affecting the neon magenta base color. She also added more of the electric neon blue shimmer.

What you see here is with 3 thin coats and top coat. I noticed that vnl is showing in the pics, but I promise, you can barely see it in person. Application was a bit streaky for first and second coats, but the third coat even it out. As usual, purples are my camera #1 enemy, lol! What I see in person is closer to what on my nails than the bottle shot.

Jindie Nails Tainted Love Remix & Check The Candy

Hi guys!!

I have a few Jindie Nails to share with you tonight. As you probably already know (and if you don't, I'm telling you now :p), they are doing a restock tomorrow between 10am - 6pm CST. So, if you're looking to do some shopping, you might want to consider adding these two in your shopping list ;)

Tainted Love Remix, a crelly white base with neon pink, neon green, black microglitter, and black hearts glitter.
I find the combination of the white crelly base and the selection of microglitter used gives a really yummy look! The hearts is a little thick, so I would recommend sandwiching the hearts between layers, unless you use a good top coat to smooth it out :) My swatches here is 3 thin coats and 2 coats of HK Girl top coat.

It also looks pretty without the hearts

Check The Candy, a white crelly base, with neon blue, neon orange, and pink hexes in several sizes.
I'm liking this one a lot more after putting it on! Glitter coverage and application is great! What you see here is 3 coats, normal application (no dabbing), and 2 coats of HK Girl top coat. I highly recommend this!

The reason why I'm showing these two in one post is that they will be discontinued very soon! Both are still available at Jindie Nails online boutique, in full size and (old) medium size. Tainted Love Remix is also available in the new tall mid size. But once they sold out, they won't be coming back. So grab them while you still can!! NOTD: Illamasqua Baptiste

Hi guys!

Did you survive monday? ;) I was going to do some sort of nail art today. Feels like I haven't done any proper nail art ever since the challenge ended. Buuut I am totally uninspired, so I decided to knock off one of my untried.

Illamasqua Baptiste is a gorgeous purple with shimmer that my camera couldn't capture (unfortunately). Awesome formula, swatches below are with 2 coats and no top coat.

And then, I added a layer of Max Factor Fantasy Fire. Ahh.. I have no words to describe how much I love this look!

Jindie Nails Harlow Can You Go

Happy Sunday guys!!

I'm still wearing Cygnus Loop today, but I have something else that I had prepared earlier and just waiting for a little more info before posting it ;)
If you are following Harlow & Co. on facebook, Katie announced yesterday that she will be restocking a few lines, AND launching a new Harlow exclusive shade by Jindie Nails called Harlow Can You Go (love the name!)

Harlow Can You Go is light pink shimmery crelly based, jam packed with glitter in various shapes, sizes, and colors. So far what I found while swatching are, small & medium squares in light blue, teal, fuchsia & brown, small & medium hexes in rose gold and brown, large dots in fuchsia & teal, and a smaller holographic light pink dots.
Formula and glitter coverage is excellent, as usual, no fishing required. With my nail length, 2 coats should be enough, but I added a thin third coat (personal preference). I used 2 coats of Gelous and 1 coat of Poshe to get a complete smooth nail surface.

NOTD: ILNP Cygnus Loop

Hi guys!

I have another ultra chrome polish from ILNP to share with you today, Cygnus Loop. And I have to tell you, it's hard to stop staring at my nails! At first I can barely see the color shifting, but I found out that different kind of lightning brings out the color shift, not just different angles.
I used 3 thin coats and top coat here. First coat is streaky, second coat fixed it but I still have some patchy spots, and the third coat smooth everything out. All pictures were taken in a light box.
