Guest Post for Polished & Glittered

Hi guys!

Today I have my first ever guest post for Patricia from Polished & Glittered blog. She had an accident and had to go extra nubs for a while, so she asked for people to guest post for her until the nubbins are back to normal length. I offered, and she is kind enough to let me.So head over there and check out the mani I did for her :)

Here's a preview, more details are on Patricia's post here.

My Picks of Zoya Fall 2013 Pixie Dust

Hi guys!

Today I want to share with you some of my new Zoya Pixie Dust from their fall collection. I really liked all the they have came up with in the past, and still need to add some of my favorite into my collection. Arabella, Tomoko, and Carter, these are the 3 pixies from this collection that caught my eyes. All my photos here were taken in a light box. I will be showing swatches with and without top coat. If you prefer to wear it with top coat, I would suggest to use gelous or glitter tamer top coat. I used 2 coats of OTD here, and noticed they are thirsty glitter, at least Carter is! That's the one I wore last, so I was able to notice it.

Arabella, a fuchsia red textured glitter with matte finish. Very opaque! I could easily got away with just 1 coat, but I used 2 coats here to get extra depth for the pics. I think this shall be my next pedi color ;)

Tomoko, a very sparkly silvery champagne shade. Although I like this one very much, I don't think my skin tone can pull it off *sad* But I doubt that'd stop me from wearing it :p. I used 3 thin coats here. For me, top coat doesn't change the look of this one at all, other than the obvious smooth surface. I prefer this without top coat.

Carter, a dark purple base with tons of sparkly royal purple glitter. My top favorite of all three! I used 2 coats here. First coat seemed like it's so thin that it would need 3 coats, but the second coat gave a perfect coverage! I love how the purple glitter sparkles under top coat. It looks amazing with or without top coat!

So which one(s) are your pick from this collection?
If you are a Canadian polish addict lover like me, you can get your Zoya nail polish from Nail Polish Canada. That's where these 3 prettys came from :)

piCture pOlish 9 Week Review: #1 Citrus

Hi guys!

I'm SO excited to share with you guys that piCture pOlish has chosen me as one of the blogger to participate in their 9 week blogger review! I'm not sure how many bloggers are participating in this. So basically, every Wednesday  for 9 week long, I'll be sharing my swatches and review (and possibly some nail art too) of one piCture pOlish shade.

This week, I'm starting with this bright, yummy color, Citrus!

Citrus is a bright neon orange. For me, the formula on this one is pretty thick, I managed to get a good opacity and streak-less coverage in 2 thin coats and 1 medium coat. Due to the thickness in formula, I would suggest using light pressure while applying it. I used 1 coat of Poshe on my swatch photos for extra shine. All photos were taken in a light box.

I also did some tape-dots mani using just Citrus and a white nail polish. I started with a white base, and after they dried completely, using striping tape I created a color block and carefully filled in the sides with orange, then pulled the tape right away while the polish is still wet, leaving the middle part with a white triangle shape. Using several sizes of dotting tool and Citrus, I randomly placed the dots in the white area, and using a smaller dotting tool and white nail polish, I placed a small dot over the several bigger dots. I waited a little bit until everything is dry and added top coat.

Citrus and other piCture pOlish shades can be purchased directly from their website, they ship worldwide, you can check their shipping rate here. If you live outside of Australia, (piCture pOlish is based in Australia), check out their network page to see which distributor is closer to you. Lastly, don't forget to follow and subscribe to piCture pOlish social media below :)

Monday Mani Stamping With Pueen 32

Hi guys!

Hope everybody had a great weekend! I'm feeling uninspired, so today I'm just going to share this quick stamping mani I did with Pueen 32 plate. The polishes I used are OPI Pink Friday for the base color and Color Club Pucci-licious for the stamp on my middle and ring nails. For my index and pinkie, I used Color Club Pucci-licious as base color and stamp with OPI Pink Friday. I finished the design with 1 coat of clear top coat and 1 coat of INM Northern Lights.

Hope you like them! :)

Sparkles...Sparkles Everywhere!

Hi guys!

Today I want to share my very small glitter collection from Crowstoes. They are SO blingy, hence the post title. Let's start with the highest sparkle meter, shall we?

Maxxed Out is my first Crowstoes polish. Even though I'm not a huge fan of gold glitter, I fell in love with this one instantly and got myself a back up bottle, lol. The sparkles are just unbelievably gorgeous! Since this is the polish that I'll wear on special occasion only, I tried to see if I can wear it on it's own. You can still see some of my nails on the pics, but trust me, in person, all you can see is sparkling goodness. Here's shown 3 dabbed coats and 2 coats of OTD top coat.

Maxxed Out

I also like the accent nails over a black base here.

Maxxed Out

Her Goose Got Cooked, I admit I got this for the name, I thought it was funny. From the name, you can guess that this is a thanksgiving themed polish. Although it's not as crazy as Maxxed Out, this is also a very sparkly glitter. I also tried to show it on its own, it's doable, but I prefer it over a base color. Pics shown 3 dabbed coats (except for pinkie, only needed 2 coats) and 2 coats of OTD top coat.

The glitter on my index and pinkie here are shown over OPI Warm & Fozzie. I really like the combo!
Her Goose Got Cooked

Heartless, I know I just used this on my recent mani. But I want to show a full mani of this polish. This is definitely nowhere near as sparkly as the other 2. But it's still really pretty! There's depth in it, and under the light the micro glitter look like they shine from within. Pics shown 2 coats of Heartless over OPI Dim Sum Plum.

I got these prettys from Llarowe a while ago. 2 of them are currently out of stock, but I'm sure they will be back in stock. Check out their facebook page for restock info. Also be sure to like Crowstoes facebook page to keep updated on their newest collection.

Chevron'd Watermarble

Hi guys!

Finally I can get on the computer!! I'm cutting it close to get my Watermarble Wednesday post done. Phew!
I added a little twist to this week's watermarble mani, and I think it worked. Well, at least I like it :p. I used a subtle color for the marble design, OPI Alpine Snow and piCture pOlish Tiffany (see swatches of Tiffany here). Tiffany is one of those shades that's a bit hard to captured. Although the shade is showing pretty close as it is in person, it looks a little washed out here.

After the watermarble process is done, and the top coat is fully dried, I used striping tape to create chevron tips using piCture pOlish Lagoon (see swatches of Lagoon here).

What do you think? The more I look at it, the more I like it! :). All piCture pOlish shades I used here were purchased from Nail Polish Canada. They are also available to purchase from LlaroweHarlow&Co, and directly from Picture Polish

Enchanted Polish Magical Mystery Tour

Hi guys!

I have the most amazing polish to share with you today. This polish is what got me into all the hype about this indie brand. Enchanted Polish Magical Mystery Tour really lives up to its name, magical, that's all I could say. I literally can't stop moving my fingers (when I'm not doing anything) to see the colors shift. I almost went overboard on the pictures (I think I did, lol), there's just too many good ones to show.

Anyway, lets get to the pictures. Here's showing 3 coats with top coat.

NOTD: Simple Reverse Chevron

Happy Monday!

Today I want to share this mani I did last night. Simple, quick, and has a little bling on it that makes it less boring (at least for me!). I only used China Glaze Liquid Leather, Crowstoes Heartless, scotch tape, and of course a top coat. Hope you like it!

Crowstoes Heartless is available to purchase from Llarowe. It retails for USD13.00.

Saturday Stripes & Stamping

Hi guys!

How is everyone's Saturday? :) I hope you did/are doing something fun! I did! I cleaned, did laundry.. wait, no, those aren't fun. Well, my idea of fun is pretty simple. Good snack, watching netflix, or just playing with my nail polish and listening to music. Can you guess which one I did just now? ;)

Nail art! What else? Lol. I did a combination of pastel stripes and stamping. Nothing complicated.

I started with painting all my nails with OPI My Vampire Is Buff. After it dried completely, I used striping tape and fill the exposed area with OPI Pink Friday, OPI Banana Bandanna, and China Glaze Aquadelic. I waited a few minutes before applying top coat.

I really liked how the stripes look! Unfortunately I got another bubble incident *sigh*. Too lazy to re-do them, I decided to stamp over it. I used Pueen 33 plate from Love Element set and OPI Eurso..Euro for the stamping.

I'm pretty happy with the final result. And now I'm curious to see how it look with matte top coat.. hmm.. ;) What do you think?

My Picks Of OPI San Francisco Collection

Hi guys!

So last week I posted swatches of 4 out of 7 OPI San Francisco collection. Today I'm going to show you the rest of them. Overall, I'm pretty happy with my choices. I probably want 1 or 2 more, but haven't decided yet. Below is the collage of all my 7 OPI San Francisco shades :)

To see more swatches of Muir Muir On The Wall & Haven't The Foggiest, go here.
To see more swatches of Dining Al Frisco & Incognito in Sausalito, go here.

Embarca-Dare Ya!, a pretty shimmery magenta. No issue with formula, I used 2 coats and top coat here.

Embarca-Dare Ya!

Peace&Love&OPI, one of my favorite from the collection! Duochrome polish that shifts from grey-ish green to mauve. Can be a little brush-strokey, but doesn't look too obvious once it dries. I used 2 coats and top coat here.

Peace&Love&OPI

Peace&Love&OPI
Alcatraz..Rocks, a grey based textured polish with TONS of sparkles in it! Absolutely gorgeous! I like textured polish since first time they were out, and I usually prefer to wear them as is, without top coat. This time I actually like it better with top coat. My pics don't do it justice!
