Ludurana Sintonia

Hi guys!!

I'm saying goodbye to July with another swatches of this gorgeous Brazilian polish, Ludurana Sintonia.

Sintonia is a tomato red shade with orange shimmer. I have no problem with the formula, it was opaque in 2 coats, but with my nail length I needed a third coat so there's no visible nail lines. I will be showing pics taken both under natural and artificial lights. Under artificial light, my camera picked up the orange shimmer more than I could see with naked eyes. So pretty! Ok, let's get to the pics!

Chocolate Caramel Nude Watermarble

Happy Hump Day!

I hope you're not sick of seeing another watermarble mani from me! :) For this week's theme, I wanted to do nude shades, but I ended up picking one color that well, can't be considered as nude. But I'm really happy with the outcome. The colors look great together, and have the simplicity look I was going for.

Ludurana Metal

Hi guys!!

Today I have another first-to-me polish from a Brazilian brand Ludurana. I've heard so much about how awesome Brazilian polishes are, especially the holo. This one is a glitter topper, and honestly, my first impression when looking at the bottle was boring, I wasn't too excited about it, But boy, I am proven wrong! You'll see why.

Metal is a glitter topper, it has small holographic square glitter, and purple microglitter in a clear base. Simple, right? But it translate so beautifully on the nails. I'm thinking, a thin layer of it would be a great addition for galaxy nails. I layered 2 coats of Metal over a black base, and finished off with one coat of Poshe. Please excuse my icky cuticles :(

Unnamed Mish Mash Nail Art

Hi guys!

Yup, you saw the post title, I don't know what to name this mani :p It was spontaneous, the only thing I planned beforehand was the base color that I want to use. I wanted to practice using my striping brush, and as this is my first time using it, please excuse the messy lines I did, lol! It could get better, right? ;)

Well, here it is..

Products used:
OPI My Vampire Is Buff
OPI Can't Find My Czechbook
OPI Suzi's Hungary Again!
For my thumb and pinkie, I did a randomly placed dots.
For my index and middle, I did a color block, and made partial flower petals.
And on my ring finger, I did stripes with Can't Find My Czechbook and Suzi's Hungary Again over My Vampire is Buff. This one took the longest! And I learned that I should not attempt to do a sing-a-long to the radio while doing this.

So, what do you think? My lines still need a lot of work, that's for sure, the flowers too! But overall, I think it's not too bad. At least the colors are pretty together ;)

Jindie Nails Candy Land

Happy Monday!!

Hope you had an awesome weekend! I had a relaxing one with the bf :). Today I have a fun looking polish to share with you, Candy Land from Jindie Nails! This polish is as pretty in the bottle as it is on my nails.
Candy Land is a mixed of neon matte hexes glitter in various sizes and colors, suspended in a milky white base. The base is sheer enough to give the fun effect you can see when using multiple layer, but it can be build to opacity. For my pictures here I used 4 thin coats , except for pinkie which only needs 3, and 1 coat of Poshe. You probably will need an extra layer of top coat to get total smoothness. As for the polish itself, 3 coats should have been enough, I just had too much fun layering it, lol!

NOTD: Enchanted Polish Purple Roses

Happy weekend!

Hope you guys are enjoying your weekend! :) It's just a quick post to show you my NOTD with this beauty from Enchanted Polish, Purple Roses. The formula on this one was a bit thick, but it looks sheer at the same time..if that makes sense. I used 3 thin coats and top coat here, and still can see VNL in some lights.

These were taken indoor, under natural light. I didn't realize most of the pics has my reflection on the nails! Lol!

Dollish Polish Just Keep Swimming

Hi guys!

Are you ready for the weekend? I know I am! I'm just going to show you one more pretty today, and going to enjoy the rest of the day. Might go and see Wolverine today. Yay!!

Dollish Polish Just Keep Swimming is a part of their cartoon character collection. As you can guess, this one is inspired by Dory from Finding Nemo. It mimics Dory character perfectly! This one became a surprise favorite for me. I didn't think I would love this one so much just by looking at the bottle. I layered it over Zoya Yummy, and used 2 coats of Just Keep Swimming and 1 coat of Poshe. I had to fish a bit for the white square glitters, but other than there's no issue at all.

Pics after the jump! ;)

Pahlish The Green Light

Good morning!!

I'm still rocking my bright neon mani, but I already prepared something to (hopefully) entertain you :). Today I'm showing you another one of glitter jelly polish from Pahlish. I was impressed with my first Pahlish, and this one is no different.

The Green Light is a deep emerald green jelly with green microglitter, squares and hexes glitters also in green, and I think some green holographic glitters that shifts to blue under the light. So pretty! It's opaque on its own, I used 2 medium coats here and a top coat. I love how the shade made my skin looks lighter, that's always a plus for me.

Orly Glowstick (And Some Nail Art)

Hi guys!

Summer doesn't feel complete without some in-your-face neon nails, and I have just the perfect polish for it! Orly Glowstick. What an appropriate name for this polish!

As most of neon polish does, this tend to be a bit streaky to wear on its own, and I just don't feel like dealing with streaky polish. So I layered it over white polish. I used 2 thin coats and it looks perfect! Well, aside for the rubbery finish, but that an easy fix, apply top coat, and voila! I have a glossy neon mani.

As expected, my camera freaked out a bit. It's a bit more brighter in person, and the yellow is like highlighter yellow to me.

Orly Glowstick

Orly Glowstick
And then (of course) I added a little bit of nail art. I used Bundle monster BM-319 from 2012  collection set, and stamped with Zoya Hazel. I think of it like a filter for the brightness, although it doesn't really help much, but that's a good thing I guess :p

All my polishes and stamping plate I used here were purchased from Nail Polish Canada. They are currently offering free shipping with no minimum to anywhere in Canada. Go check them out! :)
What do you think of the stamping combo I used? The design looks subtle, but I personally love it!

Coco Allure Cleopinktra

Hi guys!

Today I'm showing you another first-to-me indie polish by Coco Allure, Cleopinktra. Get ready for some bling-y photos!

Cleopinktra is clear base polish packed with a mixed of various sizes of circles, hexes, squares glitters in gold, light pink and fuchsia. We know that this type of glitter topper will look amazing over black polish, so I was looking of a different combo to use this and maybe focusing to make one type of the glitter to really pop. In this case, I want the fuchsia glitter to be the star. I picked OPI Just Spotted The Lizard for the undies. I must say this combo is not something I would wear for my daily mani, it looks SO sparkly and feels like something to wear for a fun night out.

The first pic I'm showing you is just using 1 coat of Cleopinktra over the base color. The coverage is pretty good, I didn't even put the bottle upside down or roll the bottle. (I smudged my ring finger while taking the pics and didn't realize it until I was about to put on another coat, oops!)

The rest of the pics are with 2 coats of Cleopinktra and 1 coat of Out The Door top coat. After the jump.. ;)

Watermarble Wednesday: Monster Inc. (Sulley) Inspired

It's that day of the week again..

You know, when I'm posting another one of water marble mani. I almost want to pass on doing it this week cause I run out of scotch tape. But I did anyway, and clean up was a pain! Yes, I put on cuticle cream in place of scotch tape, still think it's a pita. Lol!

This week's water marble inspired by my previous post here. I picked out Sulley's color, OPI Can't Find My Czhechbook and Picture Polish Violet Femme. Hope you like it! :)

Different Dimension Sulley

Hi guys!!

So excited to show you this polish inspired by one of my most favorite animation movie, Monster,Inc. Sulley! Not only that Sulley is my fave big softy monster, this polish also really captured the character's signature look. I ended up loving this polish even more after I have it on.

Sulley has a sheer light blue jelly base with purple shards glitter, lots of light blue glitter in different sizes and shapes, and some blue-ish green holographic hexes. I like that the blue glitters are so light and almost translucent, so the purple glitters are still the star of the polish, cause that's what makes this so 'Sulley'.

Application was easy, I used 2 coats of Sulley over OPI Can't Find My Czhechbook. I couldn't think of a more appropriate combo for this. I finished off with 1 coat of Out The Door top coat.

Check out my inspired swatch pics after the jump :)

Abstract Wavy(ish) Colors Blend

Hello again!

Suddenly I had this nail art idea that I just can't wait to try. Well.. long story short, it didn't turn out exactly what I've envisioned. Although I was aiming for a more specific look, I think this is still a pretty neat mani, so I want to share it with you guys. I'm still going to give it another try, using a different tool to get the look I had in mind.

Products used:
OPI My Boyfriend Scales The Walls (base)
OPI Do You Think I'm Tex-y?
China Glaze Isle See You Later

and of course I had to layer Northern Lights over it!

SO, what do you think? Is it a complete fail? lol. Surprisingly, this time I liked the mani better without Northern Lights.

Jindie Nails Dancing With The Stars

Hi guys!!

Feels like I'm posting so many new indies that are a first for me lately, and it always excites me to do so. Finding out what each brand has to offer, it amazes me to no end how creative people can be! Today I want to share with you this soon to be released polish from Jindie Nails, Dancing with the stars. Now, talk about a glitter bomb, ohmyholygodmotherfairies! I think I've just been educated about what a true glitter bomb really looks like! lol!

Here's what the creator said about this polish:
This has an assortment of shapes & colors of glitters including opaque matte baby pink, neon pink, white, matte opaque gray, black, silver holographic and matte opaque white diamonds, stars, dots, short bars (just a few), hex and a few hearts and butterflies.  It has neon pink stars, hearts and butterflies!

I chose a blue base (Nicole by OPI Stand by Your Manny) for this glitter, as I want to make the pink glitters pop. Although I had no problem at all getting a good amount of glitter on the brush, I still had to fish out the large round holo glitter you see on my index and middle finger. I also had to spread the glitters out, since the large ones tend to stick together, but it was not that much trouble at all. To smooth out the surface, I used 2 coats of Gelous and 1 generous coat of Poshe for extra shine.

Colors by Llarowe Confetti Freeze

Hi guys!

Today I'm back with another glitter polish from Colors by Llarowe, Confetti Freeze!

Confetti Freeze is a clear base polish packed with matte glitters in varieties shapes, sizes, and colors, plus some micro shimmer that add a little something to the finish look. All the combinations in it make this a perfect glitter topper.

For my swatches here, I used China Glaze Aquadelic as the layering combo. I really like how the base color makes the pink glitters pop. It's definitely the combo I will wear again! All pictures here are using 2 coats of Aquadelic, 1 coat of Confetti Freeze, and 1 coat of Poshe. I did have to kind of brush and dab at the same time while applying the glitter, cause they tend to drag to the tips of my nail. But it's not too much trouble to get the spread that I want. No fishing necessary.

Floral On Stripes

Happy Monday!!

After posting several swatch posts in the last few days, I feel like doing some nail art again. Today I'll be sharing this stamp mani I did with my Bundle Monster plates. I actually did a combination of striping tape mani and stamping, cause I just like to complicate things :p lol! No, just kidding.. the combo seemed good in my head, and I want to see how they translate in the nails.

For the base, I started with painting my thumb, middle, pinkie with white polish (OPI My Boyfriend Scales The Walls) and index & ring with Zoya Darcy. After they are completely dry, I used striping tape and painted over the whites with Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet, and Zoya Darcy with white. The striping tape need to be peeled off right away, I did this one nail at a time. Top coat them and let dry.

For the stamping, on my thumb, middle, and pinky I used BM-308 stamped with OPI Jade is The New Black. For my index and ring I used BM-306 stamped with Zoya Thandie.

I like how they look! Didn't think orange and green would go together, but they look kind of cute here. What do you think? :)

Pahlish Dark Paradise

Hi guys!!

Another week, another polish! (more like another day, another polish for me :p). The pretty I have to share with you today is another indie brand from USA, Pahlish.

Dark Paradise is described as "Deep violet jelly base with violet glassfleck shimmer and a mix of color-shifting orange iridescent glitter". The base color reminds  me of grape jell-o! Yum. I have no issue with application, I used two medium and one thin coats here to make sure there's no visible nail lines. For short nails, two medium coats or three thin coats should be enough. All pictures are with one coat of Poshe and taken under artificial light.

Before moving on to the pictures, I would like to note that because of the lightning used, all the pictures shown vnl. But in person, the vnl is not visible. Sorry about that!

Cadillacquer Slice of Life

Hi guys!

Hope you're enjoying your weekend! I'm so lucky to have the opportunity to try this indie brand from Switzerland, Cadillacquer. The shade which I'm about to share with you is a part of Dexter collection called Slice of Life. Now, I'm a huge Dexter fan, when I first saw the name of this polish, I knew even before I looked it up, that it's a reference from the show. The collection consist of 9 gorgeous polishes, with names that are brilliantly picked from the show's catch phrase.

Slice of Life is a bright red jelly polish with blue shimmer. The formula is excellent, no complaint from me. I used 3 thin coats for the swatches here. Because the length of my nails, you could still see visible nail lines, but it is understandable due to the sheer nature of jelly polish. Although in arm's length, the vnl is not that visible. All pictures were taken under artificial light.

Hi guys,

Today I'm excited to show you another one of CbL pretty, Beautiful Creature. I made a lot of 'ooh' and 'ahh' noises when I first looked at the bottle. Same thing happen when I put it on, lol!

Beautiful Creature is a delicate looking glitter bomb. It has all sorts of sizes and shapes of glitter in it, except for bars (but I'm ok with that). The base is clear jelly with tons of shimmer, which gives you lots of layering option. Gotta love that!

All the pictures shown here are using 1 thick coat of Beautiful Creature, topped with 1 coat of Poshe. The glitter coverage is really good, as you will see on the pics. The layering combos I used here are with OPI You're Such a Budapest and China Glaze Liquid Leather.

Dance Legend Luxy Glam (Sahara Crystal Effect)

Hi guys!

From the title, can you guess what I'm about to show you? That's right! Textured polish! I have heard so much about this Russian brand Dance Legend, and so excited to finally be able to try it.

Luxy Glam is a pink textured polish with lots of gold shimmer that look more noticeable in the bottle, but unfortunately not so much on the nails. The formula is a bit thick, but still manageable. I would suggest not to do too many strokes to avoid streak/bald spots. What surprised me (in a good way) about this polish, even though the surface looks rough, like all textured polishes do, it doesn't feel as rough at all! All these swatches are 2 medium coats.

Colors by Llarowe Behead The Drama Queen!

Hi guys!

I have this amazing polish to show you, created by this lovely lady, which I am sure most of you are familiar with, Leah Ann from Llarowe. This polish is part of CbL Haters Gonna Hate! collection , called Behead The Drama Queen! (now tell me you didn't smile reading that :p)

This is the description given for Behead The Drama Queen!:

"Deep teal green that shifts navy to purple with hints of sapphire with intense shimmer in sunlight."

At a glance, it is a deep emerald green with tons of green shimmer. When I look closer under the light, the blue shimmer is more noticeable. I could also see the color shift between green, dark blue, and purple in some angle. So I must say, Leah Ann gave a spot on description for this. Formula wise, I have no complain at all. I used 2 medium coats for swatches here. Drying time was pretty quick. Overall, I am very satisfied with this polish.
