Enchanted Polish Hey Jude

Happy Friday!!

Today I'm showing you one of my Enchanted pretty, it is a part of the Beatles collection, Hey Jude. The collection consist of 6 multichrome polishes with subtle holographic effect. I'm lucky enough to get 3 of them, and still hunting for 2 more. Hey Jude is a green based multichrome that shifts from gold, olive, dark blue, and purple at some lights and angle. I really wish I could capture all the color shift, but my camera and the weather today just would not cooperate! For the pics, I used 2 coats of Hey Jude and top coat.

These were taken under natural light.

Sparkling Chevron Mani

Hello :)

I posted on my facebook yesterday that I couldn't do Watermarble Wednesday, cause I'm away from home, and I only bring a few polishes with me. I put on China Glaze Aquadelic last night and thought I'm gonna do a chevron mani with some of the polishes I have with me.

Polishes used here are China Glaze Aquadelic, a bright aqua blue creme, great formula, opaque in 2 coats and has a good shine finish. The first chevron layer is OPI Ski Teal We Drop, this is one of my first OPI. It is an awesome dark teal, great formula, almost a one coater, which means it's also good for stamping, another plus for me ;). And lastly, the glitter.. can you guess? I've given a clue on the post title. It's Orly Sparkling Garbage! I love the polish as much as I love the name, I think it's funny, lol. I don't think my pics give this glitter enough justice, it's SO sparkly and beautiful in person.

I hope you enjoyed this post. I won't be doing much nail art until next week, but I have some polishes I want to show you, they're pretty special. Stay tuned ;)

Pink Jelly Sammich Stamping

Hi guys!

Just a quick post here to show you this mani I did yesterday :) I was glued to the tv but still have the urge to do my nails, and  thought.. hm, what can I do without having to leave the tv. I know, lol, lazy bum! So I did this! Wasn't sure it's gonna turn out ok, but I quite like the result :)

Basically, I did a layering of stamping and jelly polish. I'm sure someone else has done this before, I just can't remember who or where I have seen it from.
For the base color, I used 1 coat of OPI Party in My Cabana, and then I stamped the design using OPI Alpine Snow. The nail plate I used was Konad S6. I put a thin layer of OPI Too Hot Pink To Hold 'Em over the design, stamped again, and finished off with INM Northern Lights. I waited for each coat to dry before I put the next layer/stamp.

Tribal Mani (First Ever!)

Hi guys!

Soo.. yesterday I received my order of nail art brushes set (along with some striping tapes). I immediately looking for ideas on what I can do with them. Well, a lot, I'm sure! But I've never used nail art brush before, and had no idea which for what. I did some google research, and decided to just practice and learn to use them as I go.

I chose to do some tribal print mani. Honestly, it is not my favorite nail art look, it seems too busy and complicated. But I want to try it anyway. And here it is...

Products used:
OPI My Boyfriend Scales The Walls
OPI Party in My Cabana
OPI Pink Friday
China Glaze Aquadelic
OPI Jade is The New Black
Color Club Pucci-Licious
Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac
Poshe top coat

I want to show you my nail art brushes. It's a set of 15, 14 different brushes and 1 dotting tool. I purchased these from BornPrettyStore for only USD 5.96, free shipping worlwide, and if you use this code NVG10, you will get 10% off your purchase. Awesome deal, right?!

So, what do you think of my tribal print mani? Love it? Hate it? I know I still need to improve my detailing skill, and I will! ;)

Picture Polish Frosting Swatches and Review

Hi guys!

It's the first day of summer!! I was planning to wear something bright today, but seeing that it's so gloomy outside I decided to try the other Picture Polish that has been sitting pretty on my desk, Frosting! Without looking at the polish, when I hear the word 'frosting', I always think of something sparkly. If you have seen the movie How to lose a guy in 10 days, you'd probably know why I think that way ;)

Frosting is a glitter polish with pink milky base, packed with small purple, fuchsia, silver hexes, and silver hearts. At first I thought the base is crelly, but it's more like a sheer creme, although it's not that sheer. I used 2 medium coats for these swatches, and be sure to wait until each coat is really dry before applying the next coat, otherwise it could be a bit draggy and cause bald spots. Drying time is quite fast even with medium coats. It dries gritty, so you might want to use extra layer of top coat for a smooth surface, I used 2 coats of Gelous and 1 coat of Poshe for extra shine. Frosting was created by Picture Polish with collaboration with Cosmetic Cupcake.

While browsing through the photos, I can't help to think how delicious my nails look, lol! Makes me crave for pop tarts. Then I thought how it would look with matte tc, in my head it would make them look more edible. So I slapped on my matte top coat (Butter London Matte Finish), unplugged my camera and took more photos.

One more thing that I like about this polish, no fishing was required to get good glitter coverage, not even for the heart glitters. I just shake the bottle before using, and that's it! I purchased mine from Nail Polish Canada, but you could also get it directly from Picture Polish website here, or Llarowe

Have you purchased this polish? Do you like it glossy or matte? Let me know ;)

Picture Polish Whimsy Swatches and Review

Hello again!

Two post in one day? Why not! I just can't resist after looking at what I got in the mail from Nail Polish Canada. I ordered these yesterday, and they arrived today. Yay! It's also kinda special because these two are the first Picture Polish I own. Look how pretty they are! <3 I'm only showing you Whimsy on this post, cause I'm a sucker for blue! Frosting look so delicious, I can't wait to try it too!

Whimsy is a bright aqua blue with a lot of light blue/green shimmer in it. I think I also see silver shimmer, which made me think of winter and snowflakes. I used two coats for the swatches here, three would've been better for longer nails to avoid vnl. I noticed some uneven spots while editing the pics, which is not visible in person. First coat was kinda patchy, but the second coat even it out. I should also mention that this polish was born from collaboration between Picture Polish and Lindsey from Neverland Nail BlogEnough talk, let's see pictures!

It's Watermarble Wednesday! (The Beginning)

Hi All!

As the title says, today I'll be showing you another watermarble mani. I just can't get tired of it! I'm thinking of making it a segment, Watermarble Wednesday, what do you think? I know it's usually pink Wednesday, but I just want something different ;) Not that I have nothing against Mean Girls, I've watched the movie at least 5 times already!

I have to admit, I'm not the best at matching or picking colors, so usually I just pick them randomly and see how they turn out. The colors I used here, for some reason made me think of hawaiian shirts..

Polishes used:
base: OPI My Boyfriend Scales The Walls
Zoya Yummy
SH Sun Kissed
SH Green With Envy
top coat INM Out The Door

I hope you like it, and see you next Wednesday for another watermarble!

Floral Pastel Mani featuring Girly Bits Spring It On Me!

Hi all!

Today I just want to show you a quick mani I did, it's so feminine (maybe too feminine for my taste) but I like it! Before you move on to the pics, I apologize for the pictures quality :( I usually take my pics under natural lights, but there's barely any sunlight today, so the lightning was kinda meh.. I tried taking the pictures under artificial light, somehow my skin color looked weird, lol. I have to start making (or buying) a lightbox! Summer will be over before you know it, and I won't have good lightning for taking pictures!

Just a little trivia, Girly Bits is the first indie brand I ever own, and it was a mini size of Cosmic Ocean. I was a bit skeptical about indie polish back then, but I changed my opinion now :)

Spring It On Me! is a glitter polish with milky base, it can be worn on it's own, but might need 2-3 coats to build up the opacity, or as a topper. It has glitters in various shapes, sizes and colors such as, tiny green dots, pastel pink, purple, and white hexes, pink and white squares. Here I layered it over OPI You're Such A Budapest.

Do you like it? If you have any question, just comment below :)

Enchanted Polish: Awesomeness

Happy Monday!

Today is a very bright and sunny Monday! Unfortunately I don't feel too well to go out and enjoy it. But no worries, I know just the thing to make me feel better (and maybe yours too after reading this?), it's my Enchanted pretty that I got from April restock, Awesomeness!

Awesomeness is a purple shade with linear holographic effect. What's more amazing about it, it is so opaque it can be a one coater for short and medium nails length. I would say my nails are medium length, and I only used one coat for these pics, no top coat. Let's check out the pics, shall we..

Rainbow Leaf Water Marble

Happy Friday!

It's one week before summer starts! Unfortunately today is a rainy friday for me here. But that never stop me to put on something bright and cheerful on my nails ;). Just so you know, I don't wear nail polish according to season, just whatever I feel like it. You might see me wearing pastels in the summer, or maybe neon in winter, lol. You never know!

I hope you're not sick of another water marble post. I'm kinda crazy about it lately. It's seriously so much fun! And I totally made up the name, I had no idea what to call this, but I think they kinda look like leaves. What do you think?

I did this yesterday, and already chipped one nail while making dinner :( but that's ok, another reason to change my mani! I'm just glad I already took the photos to show you guys.

For this water marble, I used 2 coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales The Walls as base, Sally Hansen Fuschia Power, Green with Envy, and Pacific Blue. These polishes are great for marbling. Just be sure to do it in a well ventilated room, as the smell is pretty strong.

I hope you like it as much as I do. Have a great weekend everybody! (Ps.Who else is going to see Man of Steel tonight?? :D )
